In older version of vchiq driver there used to be vcos layer that made life much easier for those who tried to port this driver to other operating system. It was deleted some time ago by commit dd87756a7ba5ed4679a33f8829e93f199395cbb4. I was wondering what was the reason behind the removal? It was nicely engineered solution and it worked. Any chance it will be re-introduced in newer versions?

Thank you

OS abstractions are forbidden from upstreamed linux kernel code, so the removal is permanent.
I'm afraid you will have to back port the abstraction layer.

Thanks for explanation. Just wanted to make sure before starting to work on it.
