Background
Reap Benefit works with citizens to solve local problems. We leverage whatsapp via a chatbot, run on a service called Glific. While we are multilingual in our content for the users, we have noticed that users would prefer to listen to instructions in their mother tongues, and dictate and send voice note their responses.

What is the feature
Integrate AI4Bharath voice to text services into our chatbot

Preliminary Requirements -
Here is an initial list. Please suggest further requirements in the comments.

  1. User should be able to hear the message received on whatsapp on demand by clicking a button so that voice note is delivered only when needed via the rest api offered by AI4Bharath
  2. If the user responds with a voice note, use the same rest apis to convert voice to text and send back to the chatbot.

Detailed description of the problem:
I might be a user who is not comfortable reading text messages in my local language, while I am fluent speaking it. Or I might be a user with a long description of an issue to share, not having the patience to type it out.

Learning Path:
Learn how to integrate 2 services, and explore human interaction principles to solve the barrier of accessing voice to text
