Original report by Sander G. (Bitbucket: sanderbit, ).

When browsing the Z@pp or Uitzendinggemist channels, video cannot be played and/or the list with items for a single program does not display.

File "/home/pi/.xbmc/addons/net.rieter.xot.channel.nos/nos2010/chn_nos2010.py", line 357, in UpdateVideoItem
episodeId = Regexer.DoRegex('data-player-id="([^"]+)"', data)[0]
IndexError: list index out of range

Channel version: 3.5.0.1

That is completely what should happen, it can't find any data for playback so there is no way of continuing.

But I might be able to see why they fail. Can you give me an example (can't find it in the logfile) of a channel + program + episode that is having this issue?

Look for Het Klokhuis, any episode (e.g. the one of today)

Interesting, the old UZG channel does not work anymore because they completely moved to npo.nl. Same goes for Z@pp and Z@ppelin. So I can't reproduce your issue. The UZG Mobile plays Klokhuis just fine.

I do not quite understand what you mean.
The UZG channel I select from the channel list does not work.
Indeed the UZG Mobile channel works, it shows a long list of programs and then I can go through them.

Do you mean that I should use the mobile channel as a workaround?
Or should the UZG channel work as well?

"The UZG channel I select from the channel list does not work" that is what I meant to say. The Z@pp and the Z@ppelin channel have the same issue. The result will be that these channel will be removed (they no longer exist in NPO.nl) and there will be a new NPO.nl channel.

Thanks Bas. I will await the channel list update then.

Please try the two attached files. It will remove all old channels and add a new NPO.nl (Uitzendinggemst) channel. It should have all the NPO.nl epsidos and the live channels.

Let me know the result.

Thanks Bas, this works. It looks completely like the mobile channel (it even remembered where I left yesterday in the mobile channel).

There does not seem to be an easy way to go through the list of programs (there is no index, just a lot of scrolling). Is this something that could reappear?

Also the list of issues of Het Klokhuis does not seem to contain the date, so the view might be different from the previous view.

Hi Sander,

regarding the scrolling: you can always scroll pages in XBMC (by pressing Right which highlights the scrollbar). In the next version of XOT there will be a generic configuration that allows you to group the program list (not episode list) alphabetically if it exceeds the configured number of items.

Regarding "Klokhuis": you might need to set the list within XBMC to sort by date. You can configure XOT to do this for you via the Add-on settings.

A Tweaker from Tweakers.net pointed me to the issue that the current listing if episodes is much shorter then they were in the old channel.

So I tried to work around it and use the mobile version for the listing of programs, and the HTML from NPO.nl for the episodes. I limited that on 500 to not hammer the NPO servers too much. However, retrieving a list now needs 500Kb instead of 2Kb, that is a lot more data. So I am not sure if I like this.

But for now, give this version a try but after you updated to the official net.rieter.xot.channel.nos-3.5.0.2 I release today (2014-07-02) at 20:00.

Thanks, will try as soon as I find the --force to update the channel (even reboot, restarting Xot etc. does not trigger an update, remains on 3.5.0.1). Might need some time.

you can go to the XOT Repository within XBMC and then manually select it from there. If it does not show up there, do a force refresh of the repositories.

I hate to say it but I cannot get the repository to show a higher version.

These are the latest updates:

-rw-r--r-- 1 pi pi 111287 Jul 10 2014 metadata.themoviedb.org-3.7.8.zip
-rw-r--r-- 1 pi pi 929886 Jul 10 2014 net.rieter.xot.channel.nos-3.5.0.1.zip
-rw-r--r-- 1 pi pi 820095 Jul 10 2014 net.rieter.xot.channel.se-3.5.0.3.zip

I am using repository version 1.0.4 so really do not see how to update the channel to a higher version than 3.5.0.1. Are you sure it should be downloaded?

Eh? The repository is not on your file system. Within XBMC go to System -> Settings -> Add-ons -> Get Add-ons. Then via the XBMC context menu do force refresh of the XBMC Online TV Repository.

Then open the XBMC Online TV Repository and select Video Add-ons. Is should have an NOS channel with version 3.5.0.2.

Finalized the paging now. Keep in mind that some pages (even on the site) do not contain any playable items, and thus will show up empty.

Thanks, I could not find that menu, now I did.
And the channel is on the file system as well:
-rw-r--r-- 1 pi pi 994416 Jul 3 20:43 net.rieter.xot.channel.nos-3.5.0.2.zip

(in ~/.xbmc/addons/packages$)

~/.xbmc/addons/packages is just the XBMC local cache. From there XBMC will deploy the package and it uses it to be able to do a rollback.

Please try the newly uploaded chn_nos2010.py
