With respect to the runtime power management, the power/autosuspend file has been deprecated and superceded by power/autosuspend_delay_ms as of Linux 2.6.38. Since Linux 2.6 has been EOL since 2016, LMT would be safe to use the autosuspend_delay_ms on modern operating systems. RHEL 6 is still using 2.6.32 and hasn't back-ported the autosuspend_delay_ms modification.
