To all contributors,

We are working on donating this project to the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) to be formally part of the Apache Cassandra project. ref: https://lists.apache.org/thread/y3xfkypd7v2n3xmp9b75ob1c6xngo572

To do that we need you to check, and if necessary perform, two actions:

  1. Sign Apache's CLA
  2. Agree to have your past contributions donated to the Apache Software Foundation (using the signed CLA)

Those of you that already have a ICLA filed with the ASF (e.g. all existing Cassandra contributors), or are/were DataStax employees, we are assuming your agreement to contribute and do not require explicit consent. Raise objection if this is not the case.

More info…

  1. The CLA and its instructions is found here.
We need the (Individual) ICLA signed from you, and emailed to secretary@apache.org You do not need to choose/fill out an Apache ID. Once you have done this, or if you already have an ICLA submitted to the ASF, please let us know.

  2. An agreement from you to have your contributions from this project donated. A simple +1 comment on this issue is all that is required. This agreement must be in addition to us (the ASF) receiving a signed ICLA from you.

The collection of agreements and CLAs is being tracked in this document: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lXDK3c7_-TZh845knVZ8zvJf65x2o03ACqY3pfdXZR8

I think I am already an Apache contributor, please let me know if that's not the case.

+1 @michaelsembwever I am a committer/PMC member of several ASF projects. Do I need to bother with signing the CLA again? Besides, my sole contribution here is more than trivial :) 36f357d

+1/agreed. Not sure if former interns needed to send an ICLA but I did anyway.
