Hi there,

Any help is appreciated, this is the error I am getting

Hi @nabsers1, maybe I can help you with this. My first question is if using sectionproperties with rhino input files is a feature you really want?

If so then you may want to rather run section properties with python 3.9. If you're familiar with pyenv, and the like, this should not be an issue for you. The reason for the above issue (from what I can tell) is that there were some changes to python that the rhino3dm library did not keep up with and some of the cbindings kinda stopped working (this has been my experience at least). So I believe there are only wheels available for 3.9 and maybe 3.10.

Gday @haiderali101 & @dpnova. Up until recently the main limitation for supporting python 3.12 was upstream dependencies not supporting 3.12. Just having a quick look now it seems like most now support python 3.12, with the exception of rhino3dm - however we are expecting 3.12 support in the next release.

If I get some spare time this weekend I'll start testing out 3.12 and we can hopefully have a release that supports this very soon! In the meantime this issue can be tracked at #401.

@robbievanleeuwen legend, thanks mate - generally I'd say there's an appetite to contribute from our end as we repeatedly hear from our early customers how much they value the library.

our CTO is in Sydney too - would be cool to show off what we're doing with sectionproperties some time 👍
