Current limit in 1.5.1 #4

It appears the the current limiting behavior has changed when compared to 1.0.4. Instead of cutting off the motors when in a stall condition the motor start making a grinding noise.

Uh oh. That’s not a good thing, but I’m not sure I understand.

  1. How did you cause a “stall condition”? Do you mean you immobilized the wheels? If so, how?

  2. What are the motor commands you are sending?

  3. What makes you think this has to do with the current-limiting logic?

We talked about answers to you questions in person and I think I remember you mentioning that you fixed the issue. Am I remembering correctly? Have you tested it? If yes and yes can you close this issue?

Have possibly fixed have not tested.
