App for Sprinklers_PI (i.e. OpenSprinkler App)

This is not an issue, more a request...Is there an app for Sprinklers_PI planned or even better is it somehow possible to use the OpenSprinkler App?

No app is currently planned. The web page is designed to be responsive, I use it on my phone all the time. If you use it frequently you can make a shortcut to the webpage on your phone that works just like an app.

It works this way for me too, either by using the LAN ip address or from anywhere in the world using a DDNS address and port forwarding
