Isn't word "indices" for mathematics or economics?

@nobu I thought it was the plural for index, i.e. indices = { index, index } just like vertices = { vertex, vertex}.

@nobu I've seen the term indices used widely in computer science, so I believe not. Also, this term is widely used in Ruby's documentation too.
