To recreate:

  • Using default theme on a book that has left menu table of content (toc) long enough that it requires a scrolling:
    • Scroll to the last item in the left menu.
    • Click it.

What happened: The toc jumped back up to the top.

Expected: That the clicked link was visible.

Why is this important? That the clicked link is visible is a usability thing as it allows a reader to clickly click through many many chapters to find specific content etc.
