Hi,

a quick PR to mention in the compiler error message that ? is a macro operator, as according to issue #58050

It passed python x.py test src/tools/tidy locally, as well as the recommendation to run /x.py test src/test/ui --stage 1 --bless.

Let me know if anything else is needed.

Thanks for the pull request, and welcome! The Rust team is excited to review your changes, and you should hear from @michaelwoerister (or someone else) soon.

If any changes to this PR are deemed necessary, please add them as extra commits. This ensures that the reviewer can see what has changed since they last reviewed the code. Due to the way GitHub handles out-of-date commits, this should also make it reasonably obvious what issues have or haven't been addressed. Large or tricky changes may require several passes of review and changes.

Please see the contribution instructions for more information.

@asettouf: I should have clarified — the other two messages needed the same changes (I've made specific suggestions now). After that, it looks good to me!

@varkor, do you want to take over the review? You seem to already have taken a close look at this.

@asettouf: this looks good now! If you could squash your changes into a single commit, then I'll approve. (Note also that we avoid merge commits in Rust, so if you get any conflicts you should rebase on top of master instead.)

@asettouf: are you able to squash the commits? Everything looks great other than that.

@varkor Sorry for the delay, it's been squashed. Besides, I made a slight mistake not creating a branch on my repo and then proceeded with merging rust:master into mine, which I just reverted. (that's why in the long message of the commit you can see a revert happening)

Fix for issue rust-lang#58050

Hi,

a quick PR to mention in the compiler error message that `?` is a macro operator, as according to issue rust-lang#58050

It passed `python x.py test src/tools/tidy` locally, as well as the recommendation to run `/x.py test src/test/ui --stage 1 --bless`.

Let me know if anything else is needed.
