margins in tex pdf preview cut off content

the pdf preview in the latex editor cuts off the margins of the document. instead of this, the viewport should have a horizontal scrollbar and a horizontal offset should be set.

to reproduce: \usepackage{a4wide} is already triggering this.

margins are gone. instead, the preview images are re-centered on first load and on every zoom.
