gcc is built despite system gcc-5.2.1 #19621

After make distclean; make the system gcc-5.2.1 is used until

This is on OpenSuSE Leap 42.1. There is also a gcc-4.8 installed, which may be the problem.

Ah indeed no. I remember now it's a prerequisite. Sorry for the fuss. I wish this would be made clear when make is finished with configure but I can't think of a solution that doesn't need user input (maybe a delay of 10 sec to allow a Ctrl-C abort?)
