Yet one more issue that arrises on Solaris with SCons. This is on an old Sun Ultra 80, 4 x 450 MHz, 4 GB RAM, running the very first release of Solaris 10 (03/2005).
Sage 4.1.1
This is fresh install of Solaris 10. There is nothing added to this - no new gcc, no Sun Studio. It set the machine up specifically to help test Sage and ECL on Solaris 03/2005.

sage: An error occurred while installing cliquer-1.2
Please email sage-devel http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel
explaining the problem and send the relevant part of
of /export/home/drkirkby/sage-4.1.1/install.log. Describe your computer, operating system, etc.
If you want to try to fix the problem, yourself *don't* just cd to
/export/home/drkirkby/sage-4.1.1/spkg/build/cliquer-1.2 and type 'make'.
Instead type "/export/home/drkirkby/sage-4.1.1/sage -sh"
in order to set all environment variables correctly, then cd to
/export/home/drkirkby/sage-4.1.1/spkg/build/cliquer-1.2
(When you are done debugging, you can type "exit" to leave the
subshell.)
