no "home" link in the breadcrumb #306
Comments
Which theme are you using ? The page title should link to the home page. |
I'm jumping in here. It does, but my "less experienced with the internet" friends don't understand that the title is clickable and keep looking to navigate back using the bread crumbs. |
The 3 themes use the same pattern, with a link on the title, and which I think is pretty common. But I'm opened to suggestions on how to make this more visible. Maybe with a home icon at the beginning of the breadcrumb line ? |
I have never had a problem navigating, but just the other day my colleague was clicking the first link the bread crumb chain expecting to get back. When nothing happened he just sat that, puzzled. So yeah; if the first element had been home he'd be navigating like a champ. An icon may be better because it takes ut less space, but still makes the action clear. |
@Glandos - Yes please, looks great! |
I'm currently testing Sigal/galleria
Let's say you have a folder structure like:
Once entered AlbumA, there is no way to get back to the root of the gallery, as the Breadcrumb link is limited to "AlbumA". (However it is possible to get back to AlbumA when in Sub-Album.)
I'd like to see a feature to set the "home" name of the gallery with a possibility to add it to the breadcrumb. Gallery root name could also be read from a meta file in the source folder.
Regards,
