Getting "App internal error (400)" while trying to install saleor-app-checkout

Hi!

Been following this guide to get checkout integrated with our deployment.
At step 4 (Install the app in Saleor), we are getting "App internal error (400)" no matter how we try to install the app (Dashboard, CLI)

All the environment variables are properly set; triple checked.

At the end of my wits here what the issue could be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using Saleor Cloud? What's the instance url?

Tried both with a developer instance on Saleor Cloud (https://tis.eu.saleor.cloud), and also our own deployment (https://saleor.theindus.shop)

The app is deployed at https://saleor-storefront-app-checkout.vercel.app

https://saleor.theindus.shop/ looks like a very old deployment of Saleor. Which version is it? It's unlikely Checkout app will work with it.

Do you have any logs from Vercel? Go to Vercel -> saleor-storefront-app-checkout -> deployments -> (latest deployment) -> Functions tab -> select api/register, api/install or api/manifest. Keep the tab open and try installing the app again in another tab. Inspect the logs, is there anything useful? Any error messages?

Apologies in advance if we made some obvious mistake.

Core version is v3.8.3

Checked the log, while trying to install the app.
Got this error:

ERROR	App instalation tried from non-matching Saleor domain.
Expected saleor.theindus.shop (defined in NEXT_PUBLIC_SALEOR_API_URL).
Received: localhost:8000

This is odd, since 'localhost:8000' is not defined anywhere.
The env variables are correctly set in the app and also the core; no localhost anywhere.

Any idea where the incorrect config is coming in from?

On the backend, getting this in the logs:

Perhaps this is where 'localhost' is coming from?
Unsure which hostname this log is referring to.

saleor.theindus.shop must be sending this value as x-saleor-domain header.
