Describe the solution you'd like
file.tidied already has a parameter to ignore directories when tidying. propose another parameter to ignore symlinks, as a symlink may have an older date attributed than the linked file and it also doesn't take up much space on the file system

Describe alternatives you've considered
Most workarounds involve using a file.find execution module run instead of the file.tidied state.

Please Note
If this feature request would be considered a substantial change or addition, this should go through a SEP process here https://github.com/saltstack/salt-enhancement-proposals, instead of a feature request.
