I tried this between my personal server and a new server that I temporarily spun up on Linode. I also tried this a second time with two new Linode servers to rule out the possibility that it was my personal server at fault.

I initiate the transfer on Server 1. I put in the URL of Server 2. Server 1's transfer page says "Outgoing transfer active". I click the link from this page to Server 2's transfers page. That page says "No transfers are currently in progress.".

A note regarding my personal server in particular: Before this, my personal server thought it was still in the middle of the transfer from Oasis from 2019. Only one item in a list of about 20 or 30 had the green checkmark. However, several of the unchecked grains are on my server now. The rest of them probably also got transferred but were deleted because they weren't important.

Back in 2019 I reported a couple smaller issues about mass transfers. If this bug were apparent back then, I probably would have noticed it then. So I'm guessing it was not around back then, but not totally sure.

I just gave this a try, transferring grains from alpha to my own instance, and it worked fine.

Sanity check: the source server is publicly reachable? I notice the following text in the UI:

In order for a transfer to work, the destination server must be able to reach the source server directly over the internet. However, the reverse is not necessary. Thus, you can perform a mass transfer that transfers grains from a server on the public internet (like Sandstorm Oasis) to a server on a private internal network, but not vice versa. If the source server supports HTTPS, then the transfer will take place over HTTPS, regardless of the destination server's protocol.
