System Requirements

To use JODConverter you need:

A Java runtime environment version 1.7 or higher.

Apache OpenOffice or LibreOffice; the latest stable version is usually recommended.

Any operating system for which Java and Apache OpenOffice/LibreOffice are available (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris, FreeBSD, etc.). Refer to the system requirements of the OOo distribution you plan to use for operating system requirements.

For use as a web application / web service you will also need a servlet container such as Apache Tomcat.
Whenever OpenOffice.org (OOo for short) is mentioned, this can generally be interpreted to include any office suite derived from OOo such as Apache OpenOffice and LibreOffice.
