urllib.parse.urlsplitoverurllib.parse.urlparseto avoid having to deal withurlparse'sparamsargument which incurs a performance cost.This isn't strictly needed, but it came up in the "Anthony Explains" video python: don't use urlparse! (beginner - intermediate) anthony explains 474.
