There was an issue with this example that was resolved earlier this year (#5164), but the image above does not look the same as the one shown there.

The skimage version is 0.16.2

Hello @bm-93, if you would like to keep using v0.16, please refer to the corresponding doc/examples in this link (you can select package version in the left panel).
Otherwise, updating your package version to v0.18 may solve the issue 😉.
