All leds are blinking

When I run visualization.py all leds are lighting up mostly white but there are colors and they do move around? the screen shows the wave of the music and it does change a little when you switch it on the bottom? Any help would be appreciated I am new at this!

I'd like to help, but I need more information about your setup. Which device are you running? Raspberry Pi? NodeMCU? Please tell me about your setup.

Running raspberry pi 3? Using separate 5v power supply for the ws2812b led strip? When I run visualization.py the strip is lighting up and I do see colors bouncing to the music bit all of the leds are white when they are not light up with the music? Are you referring to when there is no audio input, the slow ramp up and then sort of spazzy waveform that shows up?

Its sounds like you need to ground your power supply and your rpi. I had this issue at also.

When I had a noise issue, it was because the distance to the first LED was too far. Placing a single WS2812 5050 led on the PCB helped clean up the signal before I sent it 3m to the strip.
