Ted

Batch text file editor.

Description

Ted allows to conditionally apply text editing operations on several files at once.

Installation

Install the DMD 2 compiler (using the MinGW setup option on Windows).

Build the executable with the following command line :

dmd -m64 ted.d

Command line

ted [options] script_file.ted

Options

--verbose : show the processing messages
--preview : preview the changes without applying them

Examples

ted --verbose --preview script_file.ted

Test the changes, showing 3 neighboring lines around each fixed line.

ted script_file.ted

Apply the changes to the files.
