edit an existing TEXT value and write the ^ character at the beginning. while the ^ character is marked yellow, press OK to save. this will crash the application.

I can't reproduce this bug. How exactly are you entering the ^ character?

Actually, I have reproduced it. Typing a ˆ character with option-i into a TEXT field causes a crash when closing the pop up edit sheet.

It's already fixed in nightly builds, and will be fixed in the next release.
