Using the AppProxyCap library to setup proxy for the webview isn't a good way. actually the standard way is Using NSURLProtocol & NSURLSession, the official example

This demo point out how to setup a socks5 proxy for the uiwebview using NSURLProtocol & NSURLSession.

It's generally a good idea, but it looks to me that to implement this without providing extra benefits to the users does not worth the time.

yes, but if you compile the project with Xcode 6 or later, AppProxyCap
will not work.
