#583 - how much does the image name actually matter?

Have a bison instead!

CLI design.

Expose our architecture via multiple subcommands (e.g. build and buildrun):

Or abstract the architecture and opt-in for something more similar to a docker build or a pack build, e.g.:

Minutes:

Gabe's improving automation around release notes, and will improve automation for validating PRs update release notes

CLI:

  • "build" as noun (shp build create, shp build logs, etc.) vs verb (shp build --source-url ...)
  • maybe shp build ... to start a build (verb form), then shp buildrun logs (noun form) to get logs
  • "Builds" don't have logs, "BuildRuns" do
  • Shipwright should remain flexible, feel comfortable deprecating/refactoring CLI surface in response to user feedback -- CLI will be "alpha"
  • Code Engine CLI will not depend on the exact shape of shp CLI, should reuse packages for local source, log streaming, etc.
  • Otávio has an enhancement proposal describing CLI surface (proposes shp <verb> <resource>), and has a working prototype
  • Alice working on this in the next sprint
  • Otávio, Alice, Enrique will sync offline tomorrow to discuss, update EP
