There is a problem with the license because it cannot be released under the Apache 2 license and still contain GPL code.

Ah, yes, you are right. So, I'll say it is released under GPL, until I find a replacement for the GPL code

That's good. I will wait until you do that before submitting the app to f-droid foss repo, but please fix the gpl source headers too .

I have put it in the repo under the GPLv3 license. If you want to switch to Apache within the next while, that's no problem.

Is there anyway to put SLS under an Apache License?
For now I am changing the About information to GNU General Public License v3.0

Is it as easy as changing all the source headers to Apache?
If so, I can do this, I can message contributors about their contribution files being changed to Apache License, I am sure it won't be a problem.

So, the only code requiring GPL v3 is https://github.com/tgwizard/sls/blob/master/app/src/main/java/com/adam/aslfms/util/MD5.java. If we can rewrite the code to not use that MD5 copy-pasted lib, and remove that file, then we can go to the Apache License.

@HumbleBeeBumbleBee do you or someone else want to look into that?

could use a solution such as what's outlined here: http://stackoverflow.com/a/4846511/50913
