Combining infill every x layers not working

Behavior

The combining of infill every x layer does not do anything

I saw that this was an issue, I don't know if this is resolved? There is no mention in the manual about combining infill.

I am making a lot ( a Lot!) of small pieces, with an 0.2 nozzle, and the result is fabulous (only with slic3r, tried Cura, but not a fine result) but time could be won if infill could be combined.
Using rectilinear infill.

Feedback would be appreciated.

Be sure the height of the combined layers can be extruded (lower than the max layer height, and that should be lower than the nozzle diameter)

Generally 80% of the nozzle diameter is considered practical, but infill can be different depending on how wide you have it--but that generally gets you into flow volume issues. Normally people just print the infill faster rather than fatter.
