Problem

Hi all, I was thinking that it might be helpful to create some issue labels to help us better see and organize topics. Here are a few I had in mind looking at the current issues:

  • config
  • msu1
  • display
  • specific game
  • gtk
  • windows
  • os x
  • linux
  • release
  • emulation
  • bug
  • superfx
  • audio
  • library
  • feature
  • build/setup/IDE
  • gui
  • translation/localization

Resolution

If this sounds like a good feature, we should keep this open until our current issues and pull requests are all labeled!

To organize these suggested labels a little better (since labels support color coding, it would probably make sense to assign colors by grouping):

Platform:

  • windows
  • unix
  • gtx
  • osx

Type:

  • bug
  • feature
  • release meta
  • documentation
  • build (not really sure where to categorize this...)

Application Component:

  • audio
  • display
  • config
  • input
  • ui
  • localization

Emulation:

  • core
  • apu
  • ppu
  • msu1
  • superfx
  • sa1

I'm applying the "bug" label to issues which were reported as bugs, even if they were determined to actually be correct behavior. If they were determined to not be actual bugs, I've closed them. (e.g. #169 )

@qwertymodo yeah, I've been seeing a bunch of issues being closed in my email notifications. That's pretty nice to see.

I hope it's not sending out emails for all of the labels... if it is, my apologies.

If anybody disagrees with any of the labels, either the names I chose or which labels got assigned to a particular issue, feel free to comment, but for now I'm going to close this as complete.
