Having issues on the AS5712-54X with SFPutil not functioning. In addition unable to turn TX on with the accon utility.

May I ask which command you employed to on/off TX of ports?

accton_as5712_util set sfp 1-54 0
and also attempted to use
sfputil show eeprom

Hi,
I've send a PR to fix this, sonic-net/sonic-buildimage#2002 .
But it's on branch 201807 instead of 'master'.
Due to having problems on building branch master, I will check in this change to master afterwards.
