Hi

Following up from Twitter, I can still not get this to work.

I'm working on an Ubuntu 14 image on EC2

conda create -n sourmash_test

source activate sourmash_test

conda install -c bioconda sourmash=2.0.0a9

This produces:

Solving environment: failed

PackagesNotFoundError: The following packages are not available from current channels:

  - sourmash=2.0.0a9
  - ijson

Current channels:

  - https://conda.anaconda.org/bioconda/noarch
  - https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/main/linux-64
  - https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/main/noarch
  - https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/free/linux-64
  - https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/free/noarch

  - https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/pro/linux-64

To search for alternate channels that may provide the conda package you're
looking for, navigate to

    https://anaconda.org

and use the search bar at the top of the page.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Mick

Please look at the documentation about setting up channels here, https://bioconda.github.io/ . Bioconda depends on conda-forge for generic software.

OK that seems to have solved it, though this dependency on the order of channels does kind of make this statement incorrect:

To install this package with conda run:
conda install -c bioconda sourmash

(from https://anaconda.org/bioconda/sourmash)
