BEAT☆MUSIC☆SEQUENCE Guide

About

BEAT☆MUSIC☆SEQUENCE is a BMS player written using HTML5 technologies, for playing on the web, on Desktop computers and iPad.

The initial version is heavily inspired by O2Jam and Open2jam.

Current Features

  • Playable on Desktop and iPad.
  • Play 7-key BMS files.
  • Time synchronizing (for playing together with friends).

Supported Browsers

  • Safari. Tested on Mac OS X 10.9. Safari has the lowest audio latency on Mac. Keysounds play almost instanteously.
  • MobileSafari. Tested on
    • iPad with Retina Display, running iOS 6.1.3.
    • iPad Air, running iOS 7.
  • Google Chrome. Tested on Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.9 with Chrome 31. Chrome has very slight audio latency, but most rhythm games I played also have this much latency.

How to Play

The following section describes how to play this game.

Select Collection

Upon entering the game, you will see the "Select Collection" page. Select a music collection you want to play.

Music Collection is simply a collection of playable music in BEAT☆MUSIC☆SEQUENCE. BEAT☆MUSIC☆SEQUENCE comes with a default collection of a few music.

  • Play online
    • Select a collection from the Play Online section.
  • Play BMS files on your computer
  • Hosting a collection for others to play

Select Music

After selecting a collection, you will see a table of music that you can play. Click on the title of the music, then select a difficulty to play it.

Gameplay

Desktop

  • Use the keys S, D, F, Space, J, K, L to hit the notes.
  • Press Up and Down to change the note speed.

iPad

  • A virtual keyboard appears. Press the buttons there to hit the notes.
  • Pinch vertically in the notes area to adjust the note speed.

Scoring

The maximum score for this game is 555555. The score primarily depends on your accuracy, but it also depends on your combo.
