NeuBorder is a rework of obsidian-border that prioritizes neumorphic design, legibility, and keeping away distractions.

Installing:

  1. In Obsidian, navigate to Settings/Appearance/Themes/Manage
  2. Search for "NeuBorder"
  3. Select the "NeuBorder" box
  4. Select the "Install and use" box

Installing (Without the Obsidian Theme Repository):

  1. Download the latest version of NeuBorder.zip from Releases
  2. Extract NeuBorder.zip into vault/.obsidian/themes/
  3. In Obsidian, click the drop-down menu in Settings/Appearance/Themes, and select "NeuBorder"

Compiling:

  1. Make sure that lessc is installed
  2. Clone this repository
  3. Edit the variable 'VAULT' in compile.sh to the path of your Obsidian vault
  4. Run compile.sh in a Linux or MacOS CLI
  5. In Obsidian, click the drop-down menu in Settings/Appearance/Themes, and select "NeuBorder"

Contributing:

It's no secret that NeuBorder is full of holes

  • The theme barely works on mobile
  • It looks terrible in dark mode
  • It doesn't look nearly as good as a properly implemented neumorphic design should look
  • The thumbnail doesn't represent the look of the theme very well

If you want these things fixed, fix them yourself with a pull request, or beg sq1000000 to fix them in issues.
