This can happen, e.g. when ghi is invoked within RStudio. Example:

$ ghi show 1 </dev/null
stty: standard input: Inappropriate ioctl for device
#1: test

The output handling code is designed to deal with the results of
errors.

This fixes the source library file, rather than the stand-alone
executable.
