Suggestion: it might be nice to put all of the formatting changes in a single commit, separated from the config changes, so that it can be added to a .git-blame-ignore-revs file (to avoid the reformatting changes from showing up in git blame: https://github.blog/changelog/2022-03-24-ignore-commits-in-the-blame-view-beta/).
