I think I can start by favoring peers on the same bitrate to be partners. Then I can take a look where peers with low bandwidth to CDN have a great connection to a peer and try to provide HD video to this poor guy.

Knowing that the current adaptive algorithm on flashls take into account the rsft and also knowing that the peer-to-peer overlay adds a lot of time on signalling, I suppose that an adaptive bitrate stream with the current scenario will be severely degraded.

probably the p2p overlay have to manage the adaptive bitrate, making this issue much more complex. But first I'll make a benchmark on a 7 levels stream to make sure I'm correct.
