Mac: Open Recent... is depopulated when no window open #397
Comments
Any chance this will be addressed? |
Seems to work fine in Windows and Linux - tested with ST builds 3118 and 3114 |
Problem is present in OS X 10.11.5, build 3114. |
I was about to submit this same bug for Mac Sublime Text 3.2.1 build 3207. so instead I echo the comment of gczzdc on 24 Jul 2016. |
Populating files to system recent file lists has been improved in ST 4143. |
Closing as the recent file list is global by default since ST 4127. |
When Sublime Text is running with no files open, the
File -> Open Recent
list lacks the "upper" set of files. The "lower" set (recent folders, perhaps?) is populated. The attached images may help.If a file is open for editing, the Open Recent list has several files.
If no file is open for editing, the Open Recent list has only folders (or whatever that "lower set" is).
The upshot of the bug is that the common use case of trying to open a recent file when nothing else is open is not possible.
Reproduction
File -> Open Recent
. Several files are displayed: an "upper set" of files and a "lower set" of folders, along with one or two other items (Reopen Closed
andClear List
).File -> Open Recent
.Expected Result: Basically the same menu as before is displayed.
Actual Result: The "upper set" of files is missing.
