The git versions should only be updated via git.

ERROR (404): Unable to get cirt.net/nikto/UPDATES/2.1.6/versions.txt`
~/nikto/nikto# git pull
Already up-to-date.
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04

Pulling down either the zip or the clone git will give you the absolute
latest source. git pull won't show any updates until someone commits a
change to the git repository.
