"under the snow of the mountain or the sun of the desert." This sentence feels not-quite-right, though I can't quite put my finger on how to fix it, which is why I removed it. Something like "under the mountain snow or hot desert sun" feels more natural, but both of these run afoul of the "promote newer tracks, not older ones" that created the change in the first place, as Snow Peak and Shifting Sands are quite old (Northern Resort is a bit better, but still old).
