The characters don't talk at all. I think it would be good if when you select one it goes like "Wahoo!" or "All right!". They seem so expressionless. And if you do do this, please don't make them just stare blankly forward and move there mouth up and down while sound comes out. I'm just saying, there is ways it could turn out bad. Plus the game could be really, how do I put it...Expressed...? If you had that stuff.

Hi,

I agree. The main problem at this point is to actually get some good voice acting. If you can help with providing various voices and sound effects it would help us get it done

Yeah, I can see.

But if you just use something like [http://audacity.sourceforge.net/] Audacity you could transform the voice and get pretty satisfying results. Anyway, I'll see what I can do for ya.

Okay, I did three of the select screen voices for ya.
One is Adiumy, one is Mozilla and the other is Beagle. I made them with garageband and the iLife Sound effects, so it wasn't that hard. Tell me what you think! :)

Hi,

not bad, but are you sure we can release these sounds under an open-source license? I doubt Apple allows their sound to be distributed under open licenses

@supertuxkart-sourceforge-migration

Author: monstertux
Well, they distribute it for your videos/music, so I don't think it would be not allowed. You can email them if you want.

If it is so, I guess you'd have to do it for the mac version only.

Removing the milestone as it will happen when we get voices, and setting a milestone won't get that done any sooner

I understand why the subject take time.
I agree voice is not enough (real life people i know that play to stk mute the sound).

How to define (in STK community) the voice that have the mascots of other projects ?
How to define gesture (face, arms...)?
How to define the mood of the mascots ? Are they all stupidly happy as in other kart games ?

Maybe, the voice problem shall be put aside and concentrate on gesture (based on morphology) using coverbal and sign language.

(My opinion is completely useless with my blender skills)
