[noobness caused this(probably)] converting text to shapes without merged paths?

trying to animate texts as part of an artboard in after effects
well since texts are not supported yet with SVGA , tried converting them to outlines
but then mergedPaths come in the way which are not supported either

is there any workaround for this ?

created extra shapes for inside the letters(converted to outlines first) and parented to the main shape(main letter)
