Feature Request: Matrix Layer

Could we support ement.el and make a matrix layer?

I'd be happy for Spacemacs to support Ement.el, but you should probably wait until I add plz and ement to GNU ELPA. I hope to start that process soon.

Cool, keep us posted for when that happens.

I started looking at the jabber layer for a template to start from.

Maybe we can start choosing the keybindings and deciding what the user interface would look like for the ement public API using "space as leader".

ement also sets up a transient interface which might be interesting for spacemacs users since transient interfaces are used a lot in spacemacs:
