Does dynamic router works on application redirects?

Based on a Question on Stackoverflow i would like to know if our dynamic router works on redirects and what should be the names to pass to?

If we don't support it i would see it as an important feature.

see the documentation on url generation - i would not know what else we could need, its all there. the stack overflow question seems to be a confusion how to store routes for the dynamic router (the code example just built a route on the fly, not a route entity/document)
