Unchecking "required field" on role field isn't saved.

Title basically says it all. I can uncheck "required field" on a role field in the section editor, but after saving the section, it's checked again.

I'm pretty sure you must have a Role assigned to each user if the Role field is present. What's your use case?

Then the required checkbox is void and needs removing.

No special use case, but I would assume if I don't explicitly set a role, the default role would be used.

Exactly. If there's a checkbox and I can uncheck it, I expect this to be saved and actually used that way.
