ItemFrame does not preserve custom data (GlobalItem/ModItem)

We'll have to fix the code.

Better to wait for 1.3.6 now. Yoraiz0r said the code for item frames and mannequins improved.

Confirmed - I just had 3 worlds fail on me with the "Load failed!" message before troubleshooting it to item frames.

Terraria 1.3.5.2
tModLoader 0.10.1.3
Windows 7 64bit

To duplicate:

bug

Download here: Thorium3_World.zip

  1. Place modded item inside Item Frame (in my case, it's a Starfish Wand from Thorium). I placed one inside the chest to do this easily as shown in the screenshot above.
  2. Save/Close from main menu
  3. Reload world - "Load failed! Backup not found"

Also note, I received this error message while troubleshooting, but I'm unsure if it's related:

Read my previous comment.. lol
There is no need to confirm anything here. It's been known since the beginning of time, really. Just wait for the update.

I can confirm that that error was likely terraria rendering light beyond the map.
