Latest build causes an old feature to crash other players, but not the one using it #4152

Gameplay as a Player

Description

a feature of the metroid mod, spiderball, causes extreme lag in multiplayer for other players. this feature has been unchanged since 1.3 and only became an issue in the latest tmodloader build

Steps to reproduce

join multiplayer, activate spider ball, all other players experience extreme lag

Expected Behavior

No response

No response

Reproduction frequency

100% of activation of spiderball

Additional Information

going through github update history of own mod, and all aspects of spiderball remain unchanged from the mod update where it certainly worked.

Well, I'm not seeing anything that stands out. You'll probably need to debug the mod alone to figure out where the issue is coming from.

If you can provide a profile using dotTrace we can take a look, but it's best to learn profiling and performance analysis
