Welcome to the Carmela wiki!

Carmela is a tool for Kali Linux that aims to make network sniffing easy for everyone.

Here I will explain what my vision is for Carmela, hope you join the fun!

<1> First of all, I would love to make Carmela independent from whichever directory it's placed in, by this I mean that the user should be able to start the program from werever he wants, and Carmela will run without a flaw. This is a problem right now because Carmela relies on dns2proxy, wich is in a fixed directory, if you start Carmela from anywere except the folder containing the masters folder, wich contains the dns2proxymaster folder, it won't be able to find it, giving an error. I think I can get arround this by moving the folders to a fixed common directory, such as /urs/lib, but I still have to figure out were exactly is the best place to put it.

<2> Second, It would be great to make Carmela available not only for Kali linux, but other linux distros such as Ubuntu, by checking if the necessary files exist, and if not, installing them. But I still have to get arround the problem of how to install the missing components such as ettercap, in redhat and other linux distros that don't suport apt-get.
