VS 2015
SpecFlow.Plus.Excel v1.4.1
SpecFlow v2.1.0

Yesterday, I added an excel file to the project. Everything built and ran as expected. Today, I opened the same solution and now I cannot build/rebuild. I keep getting the error.

Could you please post more info about the error. Where is SpecFlow looking for the file?

The file in the same location as the excel file, which is in a local directory on my machine. This directory is mapped to a TFS workspace

The tmp file itself is not checked into TFS. The issue continues even if I delete the tmp file and then do a rebuild

I had the same problem. It looks like TFS set the directories "ready-only", which makes sense. I resolved the problem (partially) by manually remove the "read-only" property of these directories, and it built properly. But not sure that is the best solution.

Sorry, I'm closing this issue because I haven't done anything with it since Nov. 2016.
