About The Pull Request

Makes the CRAB-17 practically indestructible.
Removes the do_after for swiping your ID card. It now uses a wireless card reader that is instant.
Adds the ability to swipe any object that overrides GetID() to return a contained ID card, meaning you can swipe your PDA, laptop, tablet or wallet without having to remove you ID first.
Makes attacking the crab with anything that isn't an ID card display a bubble popup hinting at what you're supposed to do - swipe your ID card. It also repulses them back one turf via a safe throw proc.

Why It's Good For The Game

The goal of the CRAB-17 is to provide a very large station-wide distraction that temporarily draws crew away from their areas and moves them elsewhere. It's not supposed to sit there for 8 minutes while the players ineffectually smash their faces against it until it explodes then complain it sucks and is boring.

Why players keep doing this when swiping their ID and walking off is a better solution, is a question only their tiny lizard brains can answer.

This change encourages players to go to the crab, swipe their ID card and then go back on with their shift. This is the CRAB's purpose and expected design space. It discourages players beating the damn thing for 3 minutes getting pissed off and raging that all their money is draining away. And players can no longer just ignore the CRAB and wait for other crew to destroy it unless they want their credits drained over 8 minutes.

If all crew swipe their IDs then it explodes early. Otherwise it taunts players over the 8 minutes, trying to draw them away from their departments to go find it.

balance: The CRAB-17/Nanotrasen Space-Coin Market is now indestructible. Attacking it repulses you back one tile instead. ID cards now instantly swipe on it instead of requiring a progress bar, and ID card holders like PDAs and wallets can also be directly used on it without having to remove IDs. It still blows up when all ID cards with bank accounts have been swiped on it or after 8 minutes.

Would it be possible to just turn up the damage_deflection to something that is typically out of reach for the crew instead? So that way it isn't totally indestructible

Why players keep doing this when swiping their ID and walking off is a better solution, is a question only their tiny lizard brains can answer.

  1. Click to swipe ID
  2. Loading bar progresses
  3. Machine moves before loading bar completes
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 fifty times

This PR fixes that problem, but let's not pretend that we have no idea why people smashed that thing to pieces.

If all crew swipe their IDs then it explodes early.

This doesn't appear to be implemented unless it's exploding on qdel.

Remove the health display on examine, as well, as it'll mislead people

(maybe replace it with a tip like "it has a slot you could swipe your ID card in" or something)

does this have any way of handling AFK or offstation players? i'd hate to get spammed the entire round bc one guy is hiding in a locker afk

the crab self-detonates after 8 minutes regardless if everyone's done or not, so it doesn't matter

the reason it was better to smash the funny ATM is that, this way, only like 8 spessmans have to move from their jobs, and the rest just have to endure a bit of money loss until their brave crewmates die to the wrath of the bogs

    This PR adds a new debug button to spawn in a bunch of human dummies, assign them to one of each station job, and add them to the manifest to simulate a "full crew" on a live server.

    This PR also fixes heretic target assignment. shuffle_inplace() doesn't return the list it shuffled, so the loops never functioned, and all targets were randomly picked instead of picked with the logic.

    Allows Malf/Combat AIs to detonate borgs, to fulfill their various goals. Non-emagged borgs will leave a possibly angry and vengeful brain behind.
    This was removed when the robotics console was reworked a bit ago, with the assumption that Malf AIs could use Machine Overload to accomplish the same task. This is incorrect (and also, having to use 20 malfbux to get rid of a borg that's braindead or sloppy enough to reveal you is lame). So we re-add this one thing.

    One normally can't talk in space because pressure is too low to move sound far, but since sign language is visual that doesn't matter for them.

    Makes extinguisher sprays look nicer (tgstation#64949)

    Rather then sticking around till their 7 second delay, they dissipate
    once they finish their movement. This dissipation comes with a fading
    and such to make things look nicer.

    I've applied the fading behavior to sprays too, since they could also
    use the help.

    I really hate how things look currently, makes me break out in hives

    Fixes gunpowder and teslium explosion scaling. (tgstation#64854)

    At some point chemical reaction explosions were moved to their own handler proc and gunpowder and teslium were changed to use timers instead of sleeps.
    It turns out that whoever did one of them forgot to pass the relevant explosion scaling arguments.
    As a result both gunpowder and teslium were using the default 0 + [V/10] power.
    This makes them actually pass the scaling args as intended.

    Pepper spray module for sec modsuits, Atmos resin module and nukie pyro bundle flamethrower made into module (tgstation#64934)

    Pyro bundle was broken as when you brought it you would get modsuit and pyro backpack forcing you to either use armor or use backpack without fire protection(which modsuit has). Thanks to Fikou work it became a module
    Anti-Tider on the other hand is rarely used(i have never seen it used when i was playing sec or observing) and needed a little buff so now it will also became a module while i will make normal Anti-Tider stream wider(still working on it).
