I think there is a bug removing locations. I cannot seem to remove an area on the location map

Was this simply never implemented? As a quick workaround you could just make the locations bigger so too vague to be useful, but still in the index so they don't get duplicated.

maybe I will write a back end script to remove the location entry, because I think it is important if we are going to not remove the whole crag from the index.

I have written a script to do this and installed on prod:

./remove-node-location 11902621

Soft deletes.

Also it was very obvious that we should not be asking for node location information for closed crags. The campaign triggers no longer trigger for closed crags.
